IMWA Members in the News
The documentary follows Jim Dunn, who, after being diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, made the extraordinary decision to donate his tissues to science through The Last Gift Study at UC San Diego. Dr. Davey Smith is the lead investigator for the Last Gift study. He is a Professor of Medicine at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Smith serves as the co-director of UCSD’s Center for AIDS Research (CFAR). Dr. Davey is currently working on his memoir.
